LBC News Presenting

On 7th June I presented the overnight programme on LBC News for the first time. This is not a live broadcast – it’s a recorded programme that plays through the night. But still, good to get some more time on air!

In the news agenda on this particular day:

  • The ceasefire in the Middle East appears fragile – Israeli military reported intercepting Iranian missiles shortly before this programme went to air.
  • Putin refuses peace talks with Zelenskyy – Putin rejected a letter from Zelenskyy, and used a speech at an economic conference to celebrate a ‘new world order’.
  • British politicians slam Pete Hegseth for using a D-Day commemorative speech to compare immigration to a wartime invasion – figures from Labour and the Tories condemned the comparison.
  • Fallout from JD Vance’s interjection into UK politics continues – the Vice President blamed the death of Henry Nowak on immigration and two-tier policing.
